Jio Fiber Plans, Booking, Price, Offers, Speed, and Other Details

After waiting for almost a year, Reliance Jio has announced all its major details about its fiber broadband service on 5 September. The company has shared a lot of information on Jio Fiber’s plans, their pricing, home phone landline service, set-top boxes and other content to be shared with Jio Fiber. As announced earlier, Jio Fiber will be offered to its customers in 1,600 cities across the country. Here you can get detailed information about all the announced things, related to the commercial launch of Jio Fiber. The launch date of September 5 was announced during the 42nd annual AGM of Reliance Industries last month.

According to Reliance Jio, the company will initially offer a total of six prepaid plans, which are Bronze (Rs 699 per month), Silver (Rs 849 per month), Gold (Rs 1,299 per month), Diamond (Rs 2,499 per month), Platinum ( 3,999 per month), and Titanium (Rs. 8,499 per month). Jio Fiber Bronze and Silver plans will provide data speeds of 100Mbps, while Gold and Diamond plans will come with 250Mbps and 500Mbps internet speeds respectively. Both Platinum and Titanium schemes will provide 1Gbps data speed. Along with these monthly plans, Jio Fiber will also offer 3-month, 6-month and 12-month plans.

Prepaid Plans

The company says that each plan of Jio Fiber will come with unlimited data download and upload, although it will have a FUP, starting with 100 GB base plan Bronze, and the most expensive will go up to 5000 GB for the Titanium plan. Jio will also initially provide free additional data of up to 250GB, depending on the plan. This additional data differs from the FUP limit of each scheme. 1Gbps plans will not have any additional free data.

In addition to internet connectivity, In each of its plans Jio Fiber will offer security for upto 5 devices via Norton Antivirus, TV video calling, gaming and free home voice calls through the company’s home phone landline service. In particular, Jio Fiber Platinum and Titanium Plan will also provide users with services such as exclusive sports content, Jio VR platform, Jio first-day first-show movies etc.

Jio Fiber Welcome Offer

Reliance Jio has also announced a welcome offer for new Jio Fiber customers called JioForever, for annual plans. This offer will also provide free Jio Home Gateway device (priced at Rs 5,000), Jio 4K set top box (Rs 6,400), two months of additional service and double data. Additionally, the offer also includes free three-month validity of JioCinema and JioSaavn apps for Bronze customers. Silver plan subscribers will get a three-month subscription for OTT apps, while Gold, Diamond, Platinum and Titanium plan subscribers will get a year-long subscription for OTT apps for free. It is not yet clear which OTT apps will be included in this subscription.

In addition, Jio Fiber will offer a free Muse 2 Bluetooth speaker to the customers going for its JioForever Bronze Annual Plan. In this plan, they will get up to 1,200 GB of data at the speed of 100 Mbps for which they will have to pay Rs 8,388 (GST will be extra). There will also be an annual subscription to Jio Apps.Apart from this, if customers opting for annual plan, do not want to take Muse 2 Bluetooth speaker, they can opt for 100% extra data which means that their data will be up to 2,400 GB or can also opt for 2 months additional recharge. Half year plan customers can opt for 50% additional data which is about 900 GB of data or 1 month additional recharge. Customers with quarterly plans have the option to select only 25% of the additional data, i.e. 375 GB data.

Bronze

Similarly, customers going for the Silver Annual Plan will get Thump 2 Bluetooth speakers. In this, they will get up to 2,400 GB of data at a speed of 100 Mbps for which they will have to pay Rs 10,188 (GST will be extra). OTT Apps will also given as an annual subscription.If customers opting for the annual plan do not want to take the Thump 2 Bluetooth speaker, then they can opt for 100% additional data which means that their data will be up to 4,800 GB or can opt for an additional recharge of 2 months. Customers with half-yearly plan can opt for 50% additional data, which is about 1,800 GB of data or 1 month additional recharge. Customers with quarterly plans have the option to choose only about 25% of additional data i.e. 750 GB data.

Silver

Gold plan subscribers will get a 24-inch HD TV for free, but only Qif they opt for a two-year plan. In this, they will get up to 12,000 GB (two years) of data at a speed of 250 Mbps for which they will have to pay Rs 31,176 (two years) (GST will be extra). OTT Apps will also be given as an annual subscription. If customers opting for the annual plan do not want to take a 24-inch HD TV, then they can opt for 100% additional data which means that their data will be up to 12,000 GB (1 year) or can opt for an additional recharge of 2 months. Half year plan customers can opt for 50% additional data which is about 4500 GB of data or 1 month additional recharge. Customers with quarterly plans have the option to choose only 25% of additional data i.e. 1,875 GB data.

Gold

Customers with Diamond Annual Plan will get 24-inch HD TV for free. In this, they will get up to 15,000 GB of data at the speed of 500 Mbps for which they will have to pay Rs 29,988 (GST will be extra). OTT Apps will also given as an annual subscription.If customers opting for the annual plan do not wish to take 24 inch HD TV, then they can opt for 100% of additional data which means that their data will be up to 30,000 GB or can also opt for 2 months additional recharge. Half year plan customers can opt for 50% additional data which is about 11,250 GB of data or 1 month additional recharge. Customers with quarterly plans have the option to select only 25% additional data which is approximately 4,687 GB data.

Diamond

Customers with Platinum Annual Plan will get 32-inch HD TV for free. In this, they will get up to 30,000 GB of data at the speed of 1 Gbps for which they will have to pay Rs 47,988 (GST will be extra). OTT Apps will also given as an annual subscription.If customers opting for an annual plan do not want to take a 32-inch HD TV, then they can opt for 100% additional data which means that their data will be up to 60,000 GB or can opt for an additional recharge of 2 months. Customers with half-yearly plan can opt for 50% additional data which is about 22,500 GB of data or 1 month additional recharge. Customers with quarterly plans have the option to select only 25% of additional data which is approximately 9,375 GB data.

Platinum

Customers with the most expensive Titanium annual plan will get a 43-inch 4K TV. In this, they will get up to 60,000 GB of data at the speed of 1 Gbps, for which they will have to pay Rs 101,988 (GST will be extra). OTT Apps will also given as an annual subscription.If customers opting for an annual plan do not wish to take a 43-inch 4K TV, then they can opt for 100% of additional data which means that their data will be up to 120,000 GB or can opt for an additional recharge of 2 months. Customers with half-yearly plan can opt for 50% additional data which is about 45,000 GB of data or 1 month additional recharge. Customers with quarterly plans have the option to select only 25% of additional data i.e. 18,750 GB data.

Titanium

If we try to understand from the below chart, we see that for Silver Plan it is Rs 150 more than that of Bronze Plan, similarly for Silver to Gold plan it is Rs 450 more, for Gold to Diamond plan Rs 1,200 is charged extra, Rs 1,500 is charged extra for Diamond to Platinum plan and by paying Rs 4,500 more user can get the Titanium Plan.

Jio Fiber connection, how to get the installation fee
According to Reliance Jio, interested consumers can register for the Jio Fiber service by visiting the company’s website – Jio.com – or the MyJio app. If Jio Fiber is available at your location, then the Jio company representative will contact you. User has to pay a one-time fee for Jio Fiber connection which is Rs 2,500 out of which Rs 1,500 will be refundable as security deposit for Jio router. The remaining Rs 1,000 will be non-refundable.

Validity of Jio Fiber preview offer
Ever since Reliance Jio officially unveiled its Jio Fiber broadband, the service has been offered to consumers as a preview offer. At that time customers paid Rs 4,500 or Rs 2,500 as refundable security deposit, which was depending on the router given to them. As Jio has now launched the Jio Fiber service commercially, the customers of the preview offer are being informed about the future offer of the Jio Fiber service.

According to a notification on the MyJio app, existing Jio Fiber customers will be migrated to the paid plans. They will be contacted in person to explain the migration in details. On recharging with the monthly / quarterly / annual plan of their choice, every Jio Fiber user will get a set top box with all services. Meanwhile, customers with preview offers can continue to use their Jio Fiber broadband without any interruption.
