Russia will launch of its own photo-sharing app Rossgram

After the ban of Instagram, Russia has created its own photo sharing app Rossgram. Which will be launched on 28 March. It will have features like crowdfunding and paid access to certain content. Jobov shared a photo on Russia’s social media platform V kontakte. According to this, the color scheme and layout of Rossgram will be similar to that of Instagram.

Russia will also make a smartphone named Ayya T1.
Meta has not yet commented on the design of Rosgram. Russia has been developing its country’s technology in recent months, including the Ayya T1 smartphone by state group Rostec. Also in November, Gazprom Media launched its own app, Yappi, similar to the video-sharing platform Tik-Tok.

According to Reuters, Meta was making temporary changes to its hate speech policy. The start of the war with Ukraine allowed Facebook and Instagram users in some countries to post violence against Russian civilians and forces. Russia has already blocked access to Facebook. Apart from this, limited access has also been imposed on Twitter. Russia has already banned Facebook and started a criminal investigation against Meta. It has also been named an “extremist organization”. The matter is currently in the court of Russia.
