SOLAR SYSTEM SCALE & LIGHT SPEED SIMULATOR
Textbook illustrations always lie because space is almost entirely empty. Shrink the Sun to everyday objects and discover where the planets would truly sit in your city.

Real-Time Speed of Light Photon Simulator
Watch a beam of light travel outward from the Sun at 299,792 km/s.
Why Almost Every Solar System Diagram Is Wrong
In typical textbook diagrams, the planets are drawn right next to each other so they fit on a single page. If the Sun were drawn to true scale on standard printer paper (10 cm wide), Earth would be a microscopic speck 0.9 mm wide placed 11 meters away down the hallway, and Neptune would be 320 meters away down the block!
Even at the ultimate cosmic speed limit ($c = 299,792\text{ km/s}$), light takes 8 minutes and 20 seconds to cross the distance from the Sun to Earth, and over 4 hours to reach Neptune.
